Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 victories have been earned on hard courts
A comeback Daniil Medvedev secured his initial trophy for nearly 30 months with victory over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- world number one, has endured a difficult season, winning just one match at the major tournaments and suffering a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's varied form on the tennis tour - and issues with his service game in particular - resulted in him exiting of the world's top 10 and ultimately splitting with former coach his previous coach.
Currently working with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually advanced in the last few weeks - climaxing in a closely contested three-set victory over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
It is the player's initial title after the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hardcourt from that period of 2023.
Success also indicates Medvedev has secured twenty-one titles at 21 distinct competitions.
"For the first time I have attended a competition with my two daughters together, so to win a championship is especially meaningful," stated world number 14 Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my younger daughter Victoria, because the initial championship I got when my child Alisa was born was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had lost his previous six finals, featuring in the German tournament previously this season.
Medvedev's retrieving strategy and recurring reactions on the tennis court had led observers to doubt if his skill to play at the highest level was over.
Yet the player has made changes in the last few weeks, striving to approach the net and play assertively, supported by an improved serving game.
Medvedev came back from a deficit in the initial set against the challenging Frenchman, securing 4 of the last five games to go ahead.
The pair swapped service breaks in the second set before the challenger, attempting for his initial professional championship, gained dominance to create a third set.
He saved four early-game chances in a competitive final set before the Russian broke to fifteen to secure the win.
Suitably, he earned the win with a rally at the net area, with his opponent unable to manage a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
